Privacy

What we know about you: very little.

This notice describes this website and the emails you send us. It is short because the site collects almost nothing.

On this site

  • Cookies

The site sets no cookies. When you start a check from the homepage, your tab temporarily holds the website address to open the results page. That entry is removed when the check page reads it.

  • Analytics and trackers

None. No analytics script, no advertising pixel and no third-party embed is loaded. Fonts are served from this site. The check service counts, per day and language, how many checks start and finish and which next step is chosen on the result page, with the label of the link or ad that led to the check. These daily totals contain no address, no cookie and nothing that identifies you.

  • The free check

You enter a website address. A recent result may be reused for up to 24 hours. No name or email is required to view it. [To be provided by the founder: how long the address and result are kept]

  • Contact

The contact form sends your email address, website, market, question and scan reference, if you give one, to our server, with the page language, the label of the link or ad that led you here, and the time. We keep them only to answer you and delete them 12 months after they were sent; copies in our backups are deleted within a further 14 days. They are not used for advertising and never sold.

  • Server logs

The web server that delivers these pages records technical request data, such as the address a request came from, to keep the service running. [To be provided by the founder: host, log retention period]

When you write to us

  • What we receive

Your email address and whatever you write. We use it to answer you and, if you order one, to prepare and deliver an audit.

  • Who is responsible

[To be provided by the founder: company name and address of the data controller]

  • How long we keep it

[To be provided by the founder: retention period]

  • Who else processes it

[To be provided by the founder: email provider and its location]

  • Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Write to contact@geowner.com. You can also complain to the data protection authority of your country.

What an audit reads

An audit reads public pages of the audited website and stores short excerpts as evidence. It does not look for personal data. How our crawler behaves is described on its own page. Our crawler
