Passage extractability
Passage extractability checks whether an AI assistant can lift a clear, self-contained passage from your page: the answer near the top, short paragraphs under descriptive headings, and concrete facts. A page whose answers cannot be lifted out cleanly is hard to quote.

Reading the result
What good looks like, and what a problem looks like.
Good
Short, self-contained paragraphs under descriptive headings, with the main answer early.
Not measured
When this cannot be checked, the result says so and leaves it out of the score. Unknown is not zero.
Typical problems
- A directive on the page forbids search snippets, which also stops quoting.
- Long paragraphs bury the answer.
- Headings do not match the text below them.
What it cannot prove
- A quotable page is a better candidate. Assistants choose their own sources, so it is no promise of a citation.
