Google Search Console
Google Search Console data shows, from Google's own side, whether your page is indexed, which address Google treats as its main version, and how your site performs in search. It is the closest thing to Google's own answer, so it is used whenever you grant access.

Reading the result
What good looks like, and what a problem looks like.
Good
The page is indexed, Google keeps the address you declared, and the site earns impressions.
Not measured
When this cannot be checked, the result says so and leaves it out of the score. Unknown is not zero.
Typical problems
- Google reports the page as not indexed.
- Google chose a different main address from the one you declared.
- The site earns no impressions at all.
What it cannot prove
- Clicks, queries and click-through rates are reported, not judged: a good rate depends on position, market and the mix of searches.
